"GMO-free" certificates

Seeds and plant propagation material

Definition

A "GMO-free" certificate is delivered after control and confirms the absence of Genetically Modified Organisms (GMO) in the manufacture of products. This certificate, however, does not give any guarantee with respect to the incidental or accidental presence of GMO.

Related products

The certificate may be delivered for the following:

  • plants and plant products, in particular ornamental plants and seeds, as well as trees
    For Example: seed potatoes, corn seeds, apple trees etc.

Related organizations

The Administration of Agricultural Technical Services (ASTA) can deliver "GMO-free" certificates. The certification service for seeds and plant propagation material has authority for agricultural and horticultural species.
