A logistics challenge for Cargolux in the Covid-19 vaccine distribution

After Pfizer and BioNTech's annoucement of a Covid-19 vaccine, that is more than 90% effective, logistics players, such as LuxairCargo, UPS, FedEx and DHL, prepare the organisation of the future distribution. This vaccine requires special conditions, and in particular a cold storage area dedicated to medicines, which guarantees the cold chain.

In order to meet the biggest logistics challenge in history, the International Air Transport Association (IATA) mentions that about 8,000 Boeing 747s will be needed. Cargolux, with a fleet of 30 Boeing 747s, could provide solutions.
