At the end of the year, Atlas was operating 44 Boeing 747 freighters, UPS had 32 and Cargolux operates 26 of the four-engine freighter. In total, there were 304 B747Fs in operation by the end of the year, up from 296 at the start of 2020, whereas other four-engine aircrafts were grounded due to a lack of passenger demand.
