During the sanitary crisis, the airport sector is severely impacted.
Compared to 2019, Luxembourg Airport registered a 6% increase for cargo volumes in 2020, with 947.000 tonnes of goods, whereas the passengers traffic knew a 68% decrease. According to Airports Council International, the European industry’s average passenger drop was at -71 percent.
Besides, cargo traffic was really important, especially for carrying medical equipment from and to Luxembourg.
