After a good business year 2020 in which the Luxport Group was able to increase its turnover to 65 million euros, the CEO of the Group, Mr. Helten, expects an increase in sales to 70 million euros in 2021. In terms of business activities, scrap steel and finished steel products play an important role for Luxport and these represent about 50% of Group's turnover
In the medium term, the group aims to increase its sales to 100 million euros. In this endeavour, new innovations are expected to play an important role. To achieve this target, the company plans to expand several partnerships, such as a closer cooperation with CFL and the logistics hub in Bettembourg. Further, Mr. Helten explains that 5G connections could digitalize operations around the Port of Mertert and accordingly offer the opportunity to optimize logistics processes.
