Directorate of Civil Aviation

The Directorate of Civil Aviation (DAC) is the competent authority for civil aviation under the Ministry of Mobility and Public Works.

The mission of the DAC is to supervise the security and safety of all civil aviation activities in compliance with international and European regulations.

The DAC also manages the Luxembourg aircraft registry and delivers licenses, certificates, accreditations, approvals and authorizations required by applicable laws or regulations.

Responsibilities

In the context of international trade, the Directorate of Civil Aviation is in charge in particular of the applications for air carrier operating licenses and air operator certificates (AOC).
